Watercolor Lips, also known as Lip Blush, is a cosmetic tattoo procedure for the lips.

Watercolors lips enhances the natural beauty of the lips by:

  1. Correcting the shape to promote symmetry

  2. Improving the definition

  3. Enhancing the color.

  4. Promoting collagen production in the lips which increases plumpness

Our artists will pick and mix a customized color for every client based on the natural tones of the lips. The tattoo and color selection technique used will allow the lips to heal into a natural blush of color. It will not produce any unwanted lipstick look.

appointment info:

  • Appointment time: approx. 4 hours

  • Every net set of lips requires two sessions to complete (initial session + the 1st touch up)

    • The 1st touch up is highly recommended 6-12 weeks after the initial session

    • A yearly touch up is recommended thereafter

  • Pain level: mild-moderate

  • Anesthetics: topical numbing

  • Healing: scabbing takes about 5-7 days

 

pre-appointment care:

To prepare for your appointment and ensure the best healed results please read the following:

1 month preparation:

  • No antibiotics

  • No filler or injections

  • Discontinue strong skincare such as chemical peels, retin-A, and AHA or any skincare products that encourage exfoliation

2 week preparation:

  • Keep lips highly moisturized everyday throughout the day

    • Aquaphor lip balm is recommended

    • Dry and chapped lips will result in poor final results. It’s important to keep lips moisturized until the appointment.

  • Exfoliate your lips everyday

    • Do not use any lip scrub products. Simply exfoliate with a clean towel after a shower. Skip exfoliating 24 hours before the appointment.

48 hour preparation:

No blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, caffeine, smoking, alcohol, niacin, vitamin E, Advil, fish oils, etc.

aftercare:

  • Avoid water contact on the lips for 7 days

  • No makeup/lipstick on the lips for 7 days

  • Do not pick, peel or pull on the scabs/dry skin. Do not rub the lips (no kissing).

  • Keep the lips moisturizes at all times with the provided ointment (no vaseline, antibiotic creams, neosporene, etc.)

  • Make sure to brush your teeth with your mouth open to avoid the lips from touching the paste or water

  • Eat carefully and avoid the food smudging the lips during the healing process but cutting food into smaller pieces. Avoid hot, spicy, and greasy foods for 3 days.

  • Refrain from sweat-inducing activities, saunas, swimming pools and sunbathing as your lips may loose the color and get hyper-pigmented from the. sun exposure.

 

What to expect:

  • Day 1: The color will look most vibrant today and you may experience swelling. Your skin will slowly release lymph fluid right after your procedure. 30. minutes after your appointment gently wipes your lips with antiseptic wipes provided or cotton rounds with lukewarm water to minimize scabbing. Keep the lips moisturized by applying the given ointment. Don’t forget to book your appointment for 6-12 weeks from the initial appointment date.

  • Day. 2: Lips will be vibrant and you may experience some swelling. Make sure you keep them moisturized.

  • Day 3-7: Keep lips moisturized everyday, throughout the day with the A&D ointment. Some light flaking and peeling may occur - this is normal. Scabbing should be done in about 7 days. Do not pick on the dry skin. After a few weeks you will start to see the healed results.
